Gujjar agitation spreads to Indore
The Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan demanding Scheduled Tribe status reached Indore in Madhya Pradesh, with the community members taking out processions here, sources said on Monday.
The members under the banner of Gujjar Arakshan Samiti, gathered in large numbers at the Regal Crossing here, burnt Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's effigy and shouted slogans against her.
They also accused Raje for resorting to oppressive policies against the community and demanded adequate compensation to the families of those killed in the agitation, the sources said.
