MP Govt asked to identify land for new IIT in Indore
The Centre has directed Madhya Pradesh Government to identify nearly 500 acres of land for setting up Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the state.
The directive was issued by Union Human Resources Development Ministry, which asked the government to shortlist three-four places where 500 acres of land is available for setting up the premier technology institute, official sources said.
In case the process to set up IIT prolongs, the Ministry may think of opening the institute temporarily in a building equipped with IIT-standard laboratories and faculty, they said.
