Indore airport gets three certificates for its excellent work
Indore (PTI): The Devi Ahilyabai Airport here has been conferred with three prestigious certificates in the area of management, passenger amenities, security arrangements and environment protection.
Director of the Indore Airport R K Singh told PTI that Indian Registrar of Quality Systems (IRQS) has accorded ISO-9001: 2000, ISO-14001: 2004 to the domestic airport.
Besides, the Occupational Health and Safety Systems (OHAS) has presented 18,0001: 2007 Certificates, he added.
IRQS is certified by the International Quality Systems.
Singh said the Devi Ahilyabai Airport is the only domestic airport in the country to receive the three certificates.
As far as OHAS 18,001: 2007 certificate is concerned, he said Indore airport is the only one which has received this certificate.
At least 24 flights operate daily from the airport which carry about 1,500 passengers to their destinations.
